SEOUL, May 19 (Reuters) – South Korea and Japan agreed to expand cooperation on LNG and crude oil supply, including on stockpiling and energy security, South Korean President Lee Jae Myung said after bilateral talks in Andong on Tuesday.
Lee and Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi also reaffirmed stronger security coordination, including trilateral cooperation with the United States, and pledged to advance their “shuttle diplomacy” aimed at deepening ties amid a rapidly changing security environment, Lee said in a joint press statement.
