China Says Panama Ties Should Not Be Subject to Third-Party Interference, Xinhua Reports

HONG KONG, ⁠May ⁠27 (Reuters) – China ⁠is ready to ​deepen practical cooperation with ‌Panama and urged ‌the ⁠Central ⁠American country to safeguard Chinese firms’ ​legitimate rights, Chinese Foreign Minister ​Wang Yi said at ⁠a meeting ⁠with Panamanian ⁠Foreign Minister ​Martínez Acha, according to ​China’s ⁠official news agency Xinhua.

Wang, who spoke with ⁠Acha on the sidelines of a United ⁠Nations Security Council meeting in New York, said China-Panama ties should not be subject to third-party ⁠interference, Xinhua reported.
