HONG KONG, May 27 (Reuters) – China is ready to deepen practical cooperation with Panama and urged the Central American country to safeguard Chinese firms’ legitimate rights, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said at a meeting with Panamanian Foreign Minister Martínez Acha, according to China’s official news agency Xinhua.
Wang, who spoke with Acha on the sidelines of a United Nations Security Council meeting in New York, said China-Panama ties should not be subject to third-party interference, Xinhua reported.
