Congo Says Number of Confirmed Ebola Cases Rises to 282

KINSHASA, May ⁠31 (Reuters) – ⁠Democratic Republic ⁠of Congo ​said on Sunday ‌that the ‌number ⁠of ⁠confirmed Ebola cases had increased ​to 282 after 19 ​new positive test results ⁠were ⁠recorded.

There have ⁠been 264 ​confirmed cases in ​Ituri ⁠province, 15 in North ⁠Kivu province and three in South Kivu ⁠province, according to data distributed by the communications ministry.

The confirmed cases include ⁠42 deaths, the ministry said.
