SAO PAULO, May 29 (Reuters) – A U.S. decision to designate the two biggest Brazilian drug gangs as terrorist organizations could impact Latin America’s largest economy on several fronts, including by jeopardizing foreign investments, Brazil’s Finance Minister Dario Durigan said on Friday.
In an interview with local network GloboNews, Durigan said the designation may pose a risk for investing in Brazil that did not exist before. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced the decision on Thursday.
