Earthquake of Magnitude 8.2 Strikes Mindanao, Philippines, GFZ Says

June 8 (Reuters) – ⁠An ⁠earthquake ⁠of magnitude 8.2 ​struck Mindanao ‌in the ‌Philippines ⁠on ⁠Monday, the German Research Centre ​for Geosciences (GFZ) ​said.

The quake was ⁠at a ⁠depth ⁠of 10 km (6.2 ​miles), GFZ said.

GFZ ​earlier ⁠pegged the ⁠earthquake at 7.3. The U.S. Tsunami ⁠Warning System issued a tsunami threat to the earthquake.
