FBI Probes US Security Official Who Quit Over Iran War, Semafor Reports

WASHINGTON, March ⁠18 (Reuters) – ⁠Joe Kent, ⁠the top U.S. ​security official ‌who resigned over ‌the ⁠war ⁠in Iran, is under an ​FBI investigation for allegedly leaking ​classified information, Semafor ⁠reported on ⁠Wednesday ⁠citing three sources.

The ​investigation pre-dates his ​departure ⁠as the head of the ⁠National Counterterrorism Center on Tuesday, Semafor added.

The ⁠FBI declined to comment on the report when contacted by Reuters.
