Former French Prime Minister Lionel Jospin Dies at 88, BFM Reports

PARIS, ⁠March ⁠23 (Reuters) – Former ​French Socialist ‌Prime Minister Lionel ‌Jospin ⁠died ⁠at age 88, broadcaster ​BFM reported.

Jospin was ​head of government ⁠under ⁠the centre-right ⁠President Jacques ​Chirac from 1997 ​to ⁠2002 during ⁠cohabitation, a term used in France ⁠when the president and the prime minister come from opposing ⁠camps.
