Keiko Fujimori Leads Peru’s Presidential Vote With 16.6%, Shows Early Exit Poll From Ipsos Peru

LIMA, April ⁠12 (Reuters) – ⁠Right-leaning candidate ⁠Keiko Fujimori is ​leading Peru’s presidential ‌vote with 16.6%, ‌an ⁠early ⁠exit poll by Ipsos Peru ​showed on Sunday.

Leftist candidate Roberto ​Sanchez trailed with 12.1%, ⁠and ⁠a third ⁠candidate, center-leftist ​Ricardo Belmont, had 11.8% ​of ⁠the vote.

If no candidate clears ⁠the 50% threshold needed to win outright, ⁠the two most-voted candidates would advance to a second round, scheduled for June 7.
