Mexico Searches for Four Missing After Sinaloa Mine Collapse

MEXICO CITY, ⁠March ⁠27 (Reuters) – Mexico’s ⁠defense ministry said on ​Friday it had ‌deployed specialists to ‌join the ⁠search ⁠for four miners missing after a ​collapse in the northwestern state of ​Sinaloa.

The incident occurred on ⁠Wednesday at ⁠the Minerales ⁠de Sinaloa ​mine in the El Rosario ​municipality, ⁠the ministry said in a statement.

A military ⁠aircraft transported 38 search and rescue specialists ⁠to the site to join 60 personnel already providing security, the statement added. Local authorities and rescue teams ⁠are also involved in the operation.
