South Korea, Poland to Upgrade Ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, Media Reports Say

SEOUL, April ⁠13 (Reuters) – ⁠South Korean ⁠President Lee Jae ​Myung met Polish Prime ‌Minister Donald Tusk ‌on ⁠Monday ⁠and the leaders agreed to elevate ​the countries’ bilateral relations to a ​comprehensive strategic partnership, South ⁠Korean media ⁠reported.

Lee said ⁠they ​would further expand defence industry ​cooperation ⁠under a $44.2 billion framework pact signed in ⁠2022 and coordinate to launch direct flights ⁠between the countries.

They also agreed to step up cooperation in areas including energy, infrastructure, science and technology, ⁠and advanced industries, according to the local media reports.
