LIMA, April 12 (Reuters) – Right-leaning candidate Keiko Fujimori is leading Peru’s presidential vote with 16.6%, an early exit poll by Ipsos Peru showed on Sunday.
Leftist candidate Roberto Sanchez trailed with 12.1%, and a third candidate, center-leftist Ricardo Belmont, had 11.8% of the vote.
If no candidate clears the 50% threshold needed to win outright, the two most-voted candidates would advance to a second round, scheduled for June 7.
