South African President Removes Social Development Minister

JOHANNESBURG, May ⁠14 (Reuters) – ⁠South ⁠African President ​Cyril Ramaphosa ‌on Thursday ‌removed ⁠Sisisi Tolashe ⁠from the position of ​minister of ​social development.

He appointed ⁠Sindisiwe Chikunga, ⁠minister ⁠in the presidency ​for women, ​youth ⁠and people with ⁠disabilities, as acting social development minister ⁠pending a full-time appointment, Ramaphosa’s office said in a ⁠statement.
