Thyssenkrupp to Close Indiana Automotive Site

May 18 (Reuters) – ⁠German ⁠industrial ⁠conglomerate Thyssenkrupp will ​close its production ‌site in ‌Terre ⁠Haute, ⁠Indiana by end-March next year ​under an overhaul of ​its automotive unit, ⁠the company ⁠said ⁠in a ​statement on Monday.

Its chassis ​business ⁠will be focused at ⁠its facility in Hamilton, Ohio, the ⁠company added.

The Terre Haute site, which currently employs around 320 people, will be ⁠phased down in an orderly manner, Thyssenkrupp ​said.
